Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa to Host Summer Sunset Luaus for the 15th Straight Year
San Diego — For the 15th year in a row, the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa will host its Summer Sunset Luaus. A favorite for visitors and locals, the Summer Sunset Luau, rooted in Hawaiian folklore, has become a Catamaran tradition. The Polynesian-themed event gives visitors and San Diegans an opportunity to experience
To be held on Fridays, from June 26th September 4th, and on Tuesdays, July 21st to August 18th, this year’s festivities include music, hula dancers, a beach buffet, and the crowd’s favorite, the fiery torch dancers. Pride of Polynesia, a local luau entertainment production company, will dazzle audiences, and Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa’s Executive Chef, Steve Riemer, and his talented staff will create a scrumptious buffet which will be both visually stunning and delicious.
No Polynesian celebration would be complete without the ceremonial lei greeting, tropical cocktails (for guests over 21), and a traditional kalua pig. In addition to a complimentary mai tai, a cash bar is available for the duration of the event from 6:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m.
Tickets will be available for purchase on line on our Sunset Luau page or in the Catamaran Resort Hotel Gift Shop beginning on May 15th, and are $49.00 for adults ($69.00 for non-resort guests) and $19.00 for children 5-12 years of age ($32.00 for non-resort guests). Children under five years of age can eat at no cost. The price of admission includes tax and gratuity. Group and military discounts are available.
