Evans Hotels Appoints Jayne Aston as General Manager of the Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa

San Diego, CA –Evans Hotels, the San Diego-based, family-owned hospitality company, is pleased to announce Jayne Aston has been promoted to General Manager of the Catamaran Resort. 

Aston replaces former Catamaran Resort General Manager Jim Chester, who recently moved on to new opportunities in Atlanta. “Jim was an integral part of our company's success, and we greatly appreciate his leadership and vision over the past 15 years,” continued Gleason. “We’re delighted to welcome Jayne to the Catamaran and are grateful for her continued and exceptional service to Evans Hotels and our guests. Her inspiring leadership of her team has created a passion and enthusiasm felt throughout the resort.” 

Aston leads the day-to-day operations at the Catamaran Resort, San Diego’s premier Polynesian-style resort on Mission Bay and home of the popular summer Sunset Luaus. Aston was previously General Manager of the Bahia Resort, since 2022.
