Kids can show off their creative side at the poolside Keiki Klub (Saturdays and Sundays, 1-3 p.m.), featuring complimentary, interactive Hawaiian-inspired arts and crafts. Guests of all ages can gather bayside and be transported to the islands with complimentary Hula Lessons (Saturdays, 4-5 p.m.), fresh flower Lei Making (Saturdays, 3-4 p.m.; cost $20), and an electrifying Traditions of Polynesia show (Saturdays at 6 p.m.) featuring rhythmic drums, hula dancing, and a torch lighting ceremony. 

A real-life, outdoor enchanted tiki room, guests can flit over to the Catamaran’s Bird Encounter, featuring six colorful talkative parrots. The daily Bird Show (3 p.m., except Sundays and Wednesdays) is a must-see and makes for great photo ops! 

Cruise News 

This spring marks the return of a San Diego tradition on Mission Bay: Bahia Belle Family Sightseeing Cruises between the Catamaran and its sister property the Bahia Resort. On Thursdays through Sundays, guests can board the Bahia Belle, a classic turn-of-the-century sternwheeler boat, from the Catamaran Resort dock (at 6:45 p.m.) for a 1 hour 15-minute excursion. Guests are treated to a complimentary welcome beverage and a self-guided scavenger hunt/souvenir for kids. There’s also a cash bar and grab & go food offerings for purchase. Tickets cost $15 for hotel guests and $20 general admission. Reservations are required. 

Foodie Delights 

Gourmands are in for a treat during Wild Wednesdays, a new four-course dinner series by Chef Paul Arias at Oceana Coastal Kitchen, the signature beachfront restaurant at the Catamaran Resort. Launching March 13, each dinner highlights the finest fresh seafood and locally sourced produce from the Pacific Beach Farmers' Market. Diners can elevate their meal with an optional wine pairing to complement the seasonal flavors. Reservations are now open for this unforgettable evening of exquisite dining and coastal ambiance. 

For foodies wishing to get an indulgent taste of the Catamaran’s signature restaurant, San Diego Restaurant Week on March 3-10 is a popular option. 

Oceana Coastal Kitchen present delicious prix fixe 3-course dinners for $50 per person. 

Diners can hop over to Oceana Coastal Kitchen for Easter Champagne Brunch on March 31, featuring a visit with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt (find the golden egg and win a prize!), live entertainment, and more. Cost is $110 per person, $55 for kids ages 5-11.
